It all started in the summer of 2016. We just dabbled with the idea of creating an escape for people to come and spend some quality 'me time', in a studio loft in Downtown Saint Louis and the response was astonishing. We've been fully booked since day 1 (except during the pandemic of course)!

From all the feedback, we discovered that many guests were coming to town in large groups (wedding parties, reunions etc) and were put off by staying in cramped hotel rooms with high nightly rates. Further, they wanted a place where they could discover or rediscover one another, whether the group was just 2 people or 28 people! 

Since the pandemic, we've been inundated with requests for 'flex office' space, especially for those workforce groups who are 'working from home', but just need an inexpensive, fun and creative space to meet up once a week. 
​Nostalgically remembering the golden years, camping and/or glamping with schoolfriends, we came up with large spaces for groups, but without the spartan design of a camp. Think penthouse suite meets army barracks meets creative office meeting room. The demand has been tremendous and the reviews astounding.

​These themed spaces are an exciting joint venture with 24/7 Healthcare, which provides accessible and affordable urgent care and telemedicine to ALL people (no matter what the health insurance coverage or lack thereof), 24 hours a day, every day. Help us help those who need help the most. 
The shared intention of sitting together in mindfulness creates a sacred space that’s amazingly powerful. If you are looking for support and connection, try one of our mindfulness sitting groups. Basically, a group of between 2 and 20 people will come to our retreat and practice meditation. Quietly. Calmly. Together. A cross between team-building and mindfulness, we prefer to call it Team Bonding. 

Our corporate clients are discovering that the experiment of putting a bunch of people together in the same space for 48 hours has measurable and positive effects on productivity, harmony and efficiency. 

The Team can select a fun and captivating theme, based on popular culture, for their bonding experience: Jedi Temple, Hogwarts, Baseball, Downton Abbey, Sherlock Holmes and so many more. The goal is not to distract each team member from their mindfulness, but rather to make it an even more pleasant experience. Each team member can thereby meditate or not, depending on how they feel. Frequently Asked Things about booking directly with STLMINDFUL: 
  • ​​If you book using one of the commercial platforms (e.g. AirBNB, VRBO etc), then there is a security deposit;
  • If you book directly with us, there is no security deposit. 
  • If you book using one of the commercial platforms, then there are a variety of cancellation and refund options;
  • If you book directly with us, there are no refunds.
  • If you book using one of the commercial platforms, then they have built-in insurances for your trip;
  • If you book directly with us, you'll have to get your own travel insurance if you need it. 
  • If you book using one of the commercial platforms, there are often pet fees;
  • If you book directly with us, there are no pet fees. 
  • We intend to neither discourage or encourage you to use the corporate platforms or to book 'directly' with us; 
  • We just want you to be fully informed about the choice you make. 
  • Our spaces are not just for staying at overnight, and they're not just for flex office spaces for workgroups;
  • You can use our spaces for meetings and/or for staying several nights, or just one night, be it for work, rest or play. 
  • If you book direct, payment must be received ONLY by CashApp ($STLMINDFUL) or Venmo (@STLMINDFUL) before we can block off dates for the suite you have chosen. We generally do this all by text. 
  • If you need to change your dates, you can do so ONE TIME ONLY as long as the change is done at least 60 days before the check-in date, and as long as it's at least the same number of nights, and as long as the new dates are available. 
  • We cannot allow more than one date change; we also cannot do any refunds, which is why we strongly recommend you either take out travel insurance (or book with one of the commercial platforms) if there is even the slightest possibility that you suddenly cannot come in on the booked dates. 

Booking Directly with us is as easy as 1, 2, 3:

1. Click on the CALENDAR button (shown below each listing) to find out if the space you're interested in is available on the dates you need. 

2. If it's available for the dates you need, click the AirBNB logo beneath that CALENDAR button and get the FULL quote (including all fees and other charges) for the dates you need.

3. Take a screenshot of that full quote and text it to 314-377.4447. 

We will then respond and tell you the direct booking price and then, once funded, the calendar will be blocked off for you. 


Important: If there is any possibility that you might cancel your booking, we recommend that you book with a commercial platform. Please note that a direct booking is non-refundable. 


*With regard to capacity,
'spacious' means ​one person to a mattress (be it a sofabed, or a standard twin, full, queen or even a king mattress), whereas
​'close quarters' means 2 people to a full/queen/king mattress, including sofabeds.
